This article details how to connect and upload data from a Database to your Obviously AI account. A database is a structured and organized collection of data that can be easily accessed, modified, managed and updated. Databases are widely used by businesses and companies to store information.

Obviously AI supports integrations with the following databases:

  1. MySQL

  2. PostgreSQL

  3. SQL Server

  4. Redshift

  5. BigQuery

  • Connecting to MySQL database:

    • Click on the “Add Dataset” (“+” icon) and choose MySQL “Upload”

    • Next, make sure that you have met all the points on the “Requirements” section. Then, you need to enter your database credentials including Host, Username, Password, Port number is 3306 (by default) and make sure that your IP address is whitelisted. Add a display name to your database and choose the Database schema that you want to import. You also have the option to use the SSH Tunnel. Finally click on the “Upload” button to import your database to our platform.

  • Connecting to PostgreSQL:

    • Click on the “Add Dataset” (“+” icon) and choose PostgreSQL “Upload”

    • Next, make sure that you have met all the points on the “Requirements” section. Then, you need to enter your database credentials including Host, Username, Password, Port number is 5432 (by default) and make sure that your IP address is whitelisted. Add a display name to your database and choose the Database schema that you want to import. You also have the option to use the SSH Tunnel. Finally click on the “Upload” button to import your database to our platform.

  • Connecting to SQL Server:

    • Click on the “Add Dataset” (“+” icon) and choose SQL Server “Upload”

    • Next, make sure that you have met all the points on the “Requirements” section. Then, you need to enter your database credentials including Host, Username, Password, Port number is 1433 (by default) and make sure that your IP address is whitelisted. Add a display name to your database and choose the Database schema that you want to import. Finally click on the “Upload” button to import your database to our platform.

  • Connecting to AWS Redshift:

    • Click on the “Add Dataset” (“+” icon) and choose Redshift “Upload”

    • Next, make sure that you have met all the points on the “Requirements” section. Then, you need to enter your database credentials including Host, Username, Password, Port number is 5432 (by default) and make sure that your IP address is whitelisted. Add a display name to your database and choose the Database schema that you want to import. Finally click on the “Upload” button to import your database to our platform.

  • Connecting to Google BigQuery:

    • Click on the “Add Dataset” (“+” icon) and choose BigQuery “Upload”

    • Next, make sure that you have met all the points on the “Requirements” section. Then, you need to enter your database credentials including Project ID and Dataset. Add a display name to your database and choose the Service Account JSON that you want to import. Finally click on the “Upload” button to import your database to our platform.
