Obviously AI provides support for different types of data sources for AutoML and Time Series. This article discusses how you can upload a CSV file to Obviously AI in a few simple steps and start predicting.

CSV Files

A CSV file is the most simple and one of the most popular forms of storing data. You can upload a CSV file of upto 25 MB size on the platform directly. Click on the Add dataset button on the Predict page of your account

Click on AutoML or Time Series (according to your need, we are showing for AutoML)

Click on CSV Files

Click on upload, you will be given the option to either drag and drop the file or upload from your system

After uploading your data, you need to fill the required fields

Finally upload your data on the platform

Google Sheets

Another popular form of data storage that is widespread is Google Sheets. A google workbook with multiple sheets can be uploaded to the platform. The first few steps are the same as mentioned above for CSV files. While choosing your data source click on Google Sheets.

Next you are directed to the Requirements page where you click on Choose from Google Drive.

Once you click on it, you’ll be given the option to upload your required workbook from your google account. If you already know the workbook name that you’re looking for then you can use the search option else you can use the directly choose from all the workbooks that are already displayed on your account and click on Select.

Then you’re directed to the requirements page with your uploaded Google sheet. When you have only one sheet it is already selected on the Sheet Name field. In case you have multiple sheets you can choose them from the dropdown one at a time and finally click on the upload button.
